马来西亚吉兰丹大学与马来西亚科技人才委员会建立合作关系

Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) and the Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate in producing more professional graduates in the field of Technologist and Technician.

马来西亚吉兰丹大学（UMK）和马来西亚科技人才委员会（MBOT）签署了谅解备忘录（MOU），旨在合作培养技术人员和技术人员领域的更多专业毕业生。

The signing ceremony of the MOU between both parties took place at the Pulse Grande Hotel Putrajaya today, in conjunction with the MBOT Technology and Technical Education Townhall 2023. The MOU exchange ceremony was officiated by the President of the Malaysian Board of Technologists, Datuk Ts. Ir. Dr. Siti Hamisah Tapsir, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) of UMK, Prof. Ts. Dr. Arham Abdullah.

Also present was the Deputy Director of the University Quality Management Centre (PPQ) at UMK, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noorul Azwin Md Nasir. According to her, a total of eight academic programmes have received recognition from the MBOT professional body, with 4,713 active students in these eight programmes.

She mentioned that the number of students is expected to increase as three more academic programmes have received temporary accreditation status from MBOT this year.

"In addition, a total of 69 UMK staff have been certified as Professional Technologists, bearing the title 'Ts.' MBOT is a professional body under the auspices of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI), established to recognize the Technologist and Technician professions as specialized professions in Malaysia.

"MBOT has 75,813 registered members and 90 strategic partners in the national effort to empower technological and technical talents," she said.

Meanwhile, MBOT has accredited nearly 700 technology and technical programmes at the certificate, diploma, advanced diploma, and bachelor's levels in various educational institutions in Malaysia. In addition to UMK, an MOU exchange ceremony also took place between MBOT and 19 other institutions.

同时，MBOT已在马来西亚各教育机构认证了近700个证书、文凭、高级文凭和学士学位级别的技术和技术课程。除了UMK，MBOT还与其他19家机构举行了谅解备忘录交签约仪式。
